Ride & Wild began as a family of 3 wanting to use the work van as a means to get away at weekends and school holidays. 

In doing so we discovered a new and exciting world that would change our lives forever.

It was late spring 2021 and Rob was finding his work as an interior designer and woodworker more and more involved and on bigger projects that meant a new vehicle was needed. After we found our new ride it was converted into a work van, but one with a difference. When the van wasn't in "work mode" it would be in "adventure mode" so Rob set about using his design and making skills to turn the van into the hybrid live/work space it needed to be.

The first night that we spent in the van in the Herefordshire countryside was truly amazing and ignited an unexpected catalyst within us all.

Miles away from civilisation, no phone signal and pitch black sounds like the opening scene of a horror movie, but being able to have power, lighting, a comfy bed and the ability to lock the door gave us the security that a tent simply wouldn't.

The sense of freedom that the camper provided was profound and in addition, the fact that the van was a little home from home was like a big hug and that feeling you get when you're in your own comfortable surroundings.

Waking up to the sound of rain on the roof was incredible and being able to open the doors once it had stopped and laying in bed with a fresh brew watching the trees drip around us was probably the most relaxing experience we had ever had. It only took one night to decide that this was our type of camping and that an exciting change was coming. As we travelled for the next 10 days on an epic trip around the lower half of the UK we found a community of welcoming travellers and hosts and by the end of the trip we had the same thought buzzing through our minds, "we could do something with this".

It was at that moment that Ride & Wild was born and now the adventure would really start.

Operating from our workshop in the beautiful Lincolnshire wolds we now design and create custom adventure vehicles and have big plans to develop Ride & Wild into an alternative lifestyle brand offering vehicle accessories, merchandise, custom builds, client conversions and build on that community of like minded adventurers. 

​
